Real Mom Moments: Turning Halloween Chaos into Sweet Memories

Feeling Like a Hot Mess This Halloween Season? Same, Mama.

Let’s be honest—motherhood around the holidays is a lot.
The decorations, the costumes, the candy wrappers somehow stuck to the ceiling fan (don’t ask).

Add in everyday chaos—kids, meals, laundry, appointments, and that endless mental to-do list—and suddenly you’re wondering if it’s just you who doesn’t have it together.

Spoiler alert: it’s not just you.

🧡 A Little Halloween Magic (and Chaos)

This year, my son decided he wanted to be Chase from Paw Patrol for Halloween.
To get him used to his costume before the big night, we went to a local fall festival and Trunk or Treat event — kind of like a practice Halloween run.

He did great once we got there, but getting to that point? A whole different story.
It was a bit of a struggle convincing him to wear his hat, and he wasn’t exactly thrilled about being dressed up in the car on the way over. (You know that toddler face that says “I am not amused”? Yeah, that one.)

But once we arrived, he quietly took it all in. We saw another little boy dressed as Marshall from Paw Patrol, and even though I could tell my son was excited, he didn’t say anything until after the boy had walked away. Then he smiled, waved, and said softly, “Bye there, Marshall.”

It was such a simple, sweet moment.
And as we walked through the event—me juggling candy bags, a diaper bag, and a baby—I realized something: none of us really have it together.

Most of us moms are just doing our best to create a little magic in the middle of the mess.

🌙 You’re Not Failing—You’re Human

We put so much pressure on ourselves to make everything perfect.
Perfect meals, perfect memories, perfect photos where nobody’s blinking or screaming.

But motherhood isn’t perfect—it’s real.
It’s a baby crying during bedtime stories.
It’s a toddler refusing to wear the costume you spent two hours finding.
It’s being exhausted but still showing up, every single day.

And the truth? That’s enough.

Your kids don’t need a Pinterest-perfect Halloween. They just need you—showing up, loving them, laughing through the chaos, and waving goodbye to little Marshalls.

💌 When Life Feels Overwhelming

If you’ve been feeling like life is just too full—too many appointments, too many messes, too many “I’ll get to that later” moments—I’ve been there too.

That’s why I created something that helps me breathe a little easier each week: The Mom’s Weekly Plan.

It’s a simple, printable weekly sheet designed to make the week feel less overwhelming by keeping everything in one easy-to-see place.
Inside, you’ll find:
